- Our Engeya blend’s unique and balanced profile evokes the diverse landscapes of the region where it’s produced. Sourced from the mighty snow-capped Rwenzori mountains, this coffee promises to be a favorite addition to your collection. These beans were grown in Western Uganda on farms roughly .5 to 1 acres. Having been sourced directly from smallholder farmers in Uganda, our Engeya is more than just a beverage. This is a commitment to organic growing, global sustainability and fair trade. The farmers who grow Engeya coffee use traditional, organic farming methods, ensuring that each bean is cultivated with care and respect for the environment. The result is a coffee that not only delights the palate but also supports local communities, empowering farmers through fair wages and community development projects.
The Engeya beans are 15/64″ or roughly 6mm in size. They are produced by various small farms registered with UGACOF with over 8000+ farmer households participating. These Arabica coffee beans were grown at 1,300 to 2,000 meters above sea level and each cherry is fully washed processed by soaking in a tank for 24 to 36 hours to remove the pulp.
Engeya Ugandan Coffee is a robust and flavorful coffee grown in the fertile lands of Uganda, where ideal climate conditions and rich volcanic soils contribute to its unique taste profile. Known for its strong body and earthy notes, Engeya offers a deep, rich flavor with hints of dark chocolate and a subtle fruitiness, characteristic of high-quality Ugandan coffee beans.
Whether you’re looking for a bold morning brew or a smooth afternoon pick-me-up, Engeya Ugandan Coffee delivers a rich and satisfying experience with every cup.
